Noelle Stolle and Caspian

This December, we are thrilled to honor Noelle Stolle as our Rider of the Month! Noelle's story is one of lifelong passion, hard work, and an unbreakable bond with her remarkable horse, Caspian.

Horse-Crazy Beginnings

Noelle’s equestrian journey began when she was just a child, inspired by her sisters, who introduced her to the world of horses through 4-H. At the age of 11, she got her first horse, Apache, who became her loyal partner for trail riding and 4-H events. Those early experiences sparked a passion that would shape her life.

Meet Caspian

Caspian, affectionately named despite his registered title DCA Utopia, is a Friesian-Polish Arabian cross who has been by Noelle's side for over 13 years. Acquired at the age of 5, Caspian has matured alongside Noelle, sharing countless adventures and life milestones. Known for his cuddly yet “grumpy” personality, Caspian thrives on attention, scratches, and treats—even if he pretends to protest.

Memories on the Trail

One of Noelle's favorite memories with Caspian was competing in a judged trail ride alongside her dad and his horse, Montana. Caspian and Montana’s friendship shone as they tackled obstacles together, earning first and second place. Anything was ok for Caspian….as long as Montana went first!

From 4-H to Half-Arabian Success

Noelle’s show experience ranges from 4-H events to niche Half-Arabian sport horse classes. During their competitive years, Caspian qualified for Horse of the Year in just one season and helped Noelle earn her 4-H dressage medals. Though they’re no longer focused on showing, Noelle's commitment to learning and enjoying the process remains steadfast.

Goals and Gratitude

Now, Noelle’s riding goals are centered on growth, connection, and keeping Caspian happy in his golden years. She credits much of her progress to Lauren Henderson at The Stables at Magnolia Ridge, whose mentorship over the past eight years has deepened Noelle's skills and understanding.

“Lauren has helped me grow so much as a rider,” Noelle shares. “I’m grateful to have found this beautiful facility and community. The support I’ve felt, especially during Caspian’s recent health challenges, has been incredible.”

Life Beyond the Saddle

Outside of riding, Noelle has embraced a career as a farrier—a path she attributes to Caspian and her mentor, Monte White. This rewarding work keeps her connected to the equine world and gives her another way to support the horses she loves.

Advice for Fellow Riders

Noelle’s top piece of advice? “End on a good note! Whether it’s a relaxed walk or finding a perfect moment of connection, leave the ride with something you’re proud of. It keeps you excited to come back.”

Barn Life with Caspian

At Magnolia Ridge, Noelle cherishes long walks around the property with Caspian after her rides.  If Caspian could talk, she jokes, he’d likely scold her for his low-sugar diet—though it’s all for his health.  And Caspian’s gorgeous mane and tail would be impossible to keep on top of without her comb and rubber hair bands.

Congratulations to Noelle Stolle, our December Rider of the Month! Thank you for sharing your story, inspiring us with your dedication, and showing what it means to truly love the ride.
